We get a lot of questions about our venue from engaged couples, but some come up more than others. Check out some of our most frequently asked questions about having a wedding at Wisteria Gardens. 

How many people can Wisteria Gardens accommodate? 

We can accommodate 200-person weddings during peak season (April – October) and 150 during the off-season (November – March) weddings.

How much does a wedding at Wisteria Gardens cost? 

The price of a wedding at Wisteria Gardens depends on the time of year, the number of guests, and the day of the week you choose to book. Our pricing starts at off-season $2,000 and peak season $4,900  Hours of access are limited in winter.

How many weddings do you have at the venue each day? 

Just yours! You will have private access to Wisteria Gardens for your reserved wedding day.  

Can we hold a rehearsal at Wisteria Gardens? 

Yes! You are provided a 1-hour rehearsal the week before your wedding. Access day/time is flexible but dependent upon the Wisteria Gardens event calendar.

How do I reserve my wedding date? 

We reserve event dates when we receive your $1,500 deposit for peak season bookings and 50% of the rental rate for winter bookings.  At that point, your date is officially locked in.

What is the payment schedule? 

You have one week after receipt of our contract to sign it and return it with the noted deposit.  Half of the remaining balance is due no later than six months before your wedding date, and the final payment is due no later than three months before your wedding date.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

The initial deposit is non-refundable.  If cancellation is made between 3 and 6 months before your date, you are responsible for paying half the amount of the rental fee.  If cancellation is made less than three months before your wedding date, you are responsible for paying the entire rental fee and any other fees associated with your contract.  Reschedules are allowed based on the availability of the Wisteria Gardens calendar.  There is a 20% reschedule fee if made less than six months before your original date.

Can we change our guest count after booking? 

Yes, as long as your count does not exceed our capacity. We do need a final guest count 30 days before your wedding.

What should we expect on our venue tour? 

You can schedule a private tour by calling or emailing us. You can also attend our monthly open house on the first Thursday of the month from 3 pm to 7 pm, to learn more about Wisteria Gardens. 

During your tour, we can answer any questions you may have, and you will be able to see all the usable spaces on the property and determine if Wisteria Gardens might be a good fit for your wedding day. 

Are there any vendor restrictions? 

You can bring all your own vendors for your wedding, with the exception of bartending. We have a list of our preferred vendors that we are happy to share. Our list of approved bartenders will be provided at the time of booking.

How much access do we have to the venue on our wedding day? 

During peak season, you will have access from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM; winter weddings start with 6 hours of access between the hours of 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Who is the main contact on our wedding day? 

Heather and Mike Carlson are onsite on your wedding day. We are here to make sure that everything that the venue provides is working and ready for you. Please note that we are not your wedding coordinator, but we are happy to recommend some amazing businesses that can provide various planning services.

Can we bring our own decorations? 

Yes! You are also welcome to use our extensive decor room.

Are dogs allowed? 

Service dogs are allowed.  Special exceptions can be made for pets with prior approval and visitation with that pet on site prior to your wedding day.

 Is Wisteria Gardens handicap accessible? 

The majority of the venue is handicap accessible, with the exception of the log cabin. Also, be aware that some of the property is lawn.   

Can I bring in my own alcohol?

Yes, but only the applicant of the contract is authorized to provide alcohol. Hard alcohol is not allowed. You must hire one of Wisteria Gardens-approved bartenders to serve you.  Alcohol may only be served to guests that are 21 years of age and over.

Is there a getting-ready area? 

Yes! We have a gorgeous bride’s room and a welcoming groom’s cabin. You can read all the details here.

Is there parking? 

Yes, we have ample onsite parking. Winter season parking is limited to 60 stalls.

Do we have to set up/clean the venue same day

Yes. Although we take care of the setup and breakdown of our tables and chairs, you have the allotted rental period to place all decor and remove everything you brought at the end of the night.
