Wisteria Gardens is a stunning wedding venue in the spring, summer, and fall. Located just outside Anacortes, Washington, we host many weddings and special events during the peak season of May-October. Many people do not realize that it is also a wonderful place to celebrate a winter wedding. Although the grounds look different in the winter months, you can still expect the same fantastic service and a lovely event that you will remember fondly for years to come.
What are the Differences Between Peak Season & Winter Weddings?
Winter weather limits access to part of the property. We want your formal shoes to stay clean and dry, so there is no access to the log cabin, gardens, or fire pit from November thru March. The silo is then repurposed as a dressing area for the groom and attendants.
Other differences between peak and off-season:
- Most of Our farm tables are stored for the winter; we have two available. While this is less than our usual 12, they are perfect for a head table or used as a gift or dessert table.
- During winter months, the rental time is 10 AM to 10 PM.
- We limit capacity to 150 guests as our overflow parking is limited; this also allows for a more comfortable guest experience within the barn.
While there are a few limitations to winter weddings, the heated barn is a gorgeous location for a cozy cold weather event. We have hosted some spectacular events that embrace the winter season with their design and decor, and the results have been absolutely magical.
